    1. Yes, Christmas movies begin October 26th on BOTH Hallmark networks! So glad you like the looks of this one! I'm always intrigued, as I mentioned above, by stories with a Jane Austen theme, and Pride & Prejudice is one of my all time favorites!

      Hope you enjoy this one!

    1. I also love the 'Pride & Prejudice' movies, plus Jane Austen's book. It's always a delight to see stories based on these amazing characters... Darcy and Elizabeth! They continue to stand the test of time! :)

  5. Let me start by saying, I loved Michael Rady in this. He did great as Darcy. I also loved watching Jessica sang, didn't know she sings and she did wonderful. This might be an unpopular opinion but unfortunately, I just don't feel the chemistry and the story line seemed a bit forced. I couldn't buy a lot of the story lines, such as how Elisabeth made Darcy (the very busy workaholic) drove her around town, how the sale of Pemberley was canceled so quickly when Darcy heard he had a chance with Elizabeth, etc. With the names borrowed from Pride & Prejudice, expectations were high but the outcome fell short for me.

    1. All excellent points, CH Mom! I'm with you, it was cute, but a few things, like the driving her around, as you mentioned, were a bit unbelievable. Also, not quite like the Pride & Prejudice versions of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth that I anticipated, but it was sweet. Like you, I thought Michael Rady was excellent, and Jessica Lowndes' singing was such a nice, beautiful touch. Plus, it was fun to see Steve Larkin from Help for the Holidays play Santa again!

Thank you for sharing! Blessings! Net

    2. The first one out of the gate is usually not the best. It's been that way the past few years. Hallmark tends to hold back on their better movies for a few weeks until the audience starts getting into the Christmas spirit. It's still before Halloween and 98% of the country isn't into watching Christmas movies just yet.

The good thing this year is that if you don't like a movie you can simply stop watching it because you know there are going to be more movies that anyone could possibly want on both Hallmark Channels, Lifetime, Up, Ion, etc.

  7. My Dad laughed the whole way through this one. There were discreet comedic moments especially with the minor characters that he just loved. For me, Jessica Lowndes is a class act. I look forward to her movies each year. Hallmark movies with beautiful settings steeped in history are really special.

(I also loved seeing the stepmother from the Parent Trap).
