For the very last weekend of April - I haven't said this for a long time...

No New Movies on TV this weekend.

There will NOT be any New Original TV Movies this weekend on the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, UP, etc...

We have been so blessed for many, many weekends to have a new movie on either Saturday or Sunday night... through Winterfest, Countdown to Valentine's Day, Spring Fling, etc... plus several Mystery Movies, too!!!

What's next? Well, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will have a Marathon of "Garage Sale Mystery" Movies on Saturday, the Hallmark Channel will have various original movies throughout the day on Sunday, including: "Perfect Match," The Perfect Catch," "Love Blossoms," etc... and the Hallmark Channel does have a new Sunday night series, since "When Calls the Heart" finished last weekend, but that is not something I have chosen to promote.

Heartland Episode 3 - New Kid in Town

UP will also have a new episode of their weekly Television series "Heartland," Sunday night, at 8pm/7c., following a repeat showing of Season 10 Episode 2.

Heartland Episode 2 - You Just Know

04/30/17 - 07:00pm
Ty performs life-saving surgery on a mare, while Amy and the family work around-the-clock to bottle feed the mare's twin foals.

Heartland Episode 3 - New Kid in Town

04/30/17 - 08:00pm
Tim is caught in the middle of Jade's showdown with a new hotshot bronc rider.

So... without any new movies this weekend, perhaps, this is a good time to relax, watch some movies you haven't seen, yet, on the DVR, take a walk, and maybe, get out and enjoy (hopefully!) some good weather!

Blessings to you all - whatever you do...
on this last Spring Weekend in April!!!

  1. Thanks for all you do here. And I appreciate the choice you've made not to promote Sunday night's series. It is a personal choice for each of us, but I appreciate that you recognize the influence this site has. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Yes...I agree with Julie! Thanks for the stand you take Net...I don't watch the unmentioned series on HM either.

    2. Thank you, Julie and Joyce! Like Julie said, it's a personal choice for all of us, and one I choose according to my faith and beliefs.

I appreciate both of your comments so much!

      Blessings! Net :)

Net...Up TV is showing a repeat of their original series "Ties That Bind" on Sunday nights starting at 9pm EDT starring Kelli Williams(A Boyfriend For Christmas) and Jonathan Scarfe(Love On The Air & Angel Of Christmas) for the next several weeks. Showing two episodes each Sunday. I loved this show and was disappointed they didn't renew it.

    1. Yes, thank you for that reminder, Joyce! I saw that series, "Ties That Bind," - is repeating on UP after the TV series Heartland, on Sunday nights! That is awesome!

I, too, loved Kelli Williams in "A Boyfriend For Christmas" and Jonathan Scarfe in "Angel Of Christmas, etc...!"

Plus, Hallmark fans will love knowing two of the teenagers on the show, Mitchell Kummen and Natasha Calis, were also young children on "When Calls the Heart." And, Luke Perry, who has been in several Hallmark movies, including "Love in Paradise," plays Kelli's troubled, incarcerated brother on "Ties That Bind."

Like you, Joyce, I know many fans were sad to see this series go.

I had the pleasure to interview the writer, Sheryl Anderson, of "Ties That Bind" before the series started. Here's a link to that interview, if you're interested.

This January, Kelli Williams and Jonathan Scarfe worked with writer Sheryl Anderson on a new Christmas movie for UP, titled "Christmas Solo." I have details on my Upcoming Christmas Movie list.

Thank you, again, Joyce - for this reminder. I know many will enjoy re-watching this series on Sunday nights, too!

Oh yes Net...I am definitely looking forward to the "Christmas Solo" with Kelli & Jonathan. I had forgot about the interview you did with Sheryl Anderson...went back & read it again. Great interview! I'm hoping since UP is repeating "Ties That Bind" maybe there will be another season?? I can hope!

    3. Thank you, again, Joyce! Glad you also enjoyed the interview!

I figured you might already know about the Christmas movie, but I thought I'd mention it - just in case!

I think it would be great (if they can't do a Season 2 of "Ties that Bind")... if they could, at least, come back and do a movie to sum everything up.

Blessings on your weekend - enjoy the show!!! Net :)

  3. I love NEW movies, but since I've only had the Hallmark Channel for 2 years, I'm having so much fun catching up on their movies from past years. The only strange thing is that I'm finding that some of their movies repeat over and over - and others of them seem to rarely or never repeat. I can't figure out their system!

    1. Yes, they do repeat many movies over and over and if you are looking for more of the older ones, they are often harder to find. Mostly they get played at either 11 AM or 1 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and the rest of the day, are newer movies.

You may already do this, but my advice is - keep a close eye on the Movie List on the Hallmark Channel web-site and that's probably the best way to catch a movie that may not get as many airings!

Thank you so much for commenting, Amy G! I'm so glad you have Hallmark, so you can enjoy the movies with all of us!!! :)

    2. Thank you, Net! I'm actually watching for several fairly newer movies to rerun. As an example, I have been waiting for "Mom's Day Away" and "Reading Writing and Romance," but it seems like "Strawberry Summer" or "Operation Cupcake" always take their places. :) Is the movie list you gave the link for the movies that are airing currently? I watch the schedule on the Hallmark website that gives the next 4 weeks of what will play, but I've never seen the list you gave. Thank you!!

    3. You're welcome, Amy G.!

To answer your question... "Is the movie list you gave the link for the movies that are airing currently? Yes! That link is the current list of Hallmark movies that will be playing soon on the Hallmark Channel.

I'm really surprised "Mom's Day Away" isn't playing in May, around Mother's Day - since it is a Mother's Day themed movie. That's odd. And, I wouldn't expect to see it in June, either, since they will be playing all their wedding movies during that month. And then... July, will mostly be Christmas!

When you check a movie's main page, like "Mom's Day Away," if there is an upcoming air date, it will be listed there - on the right. In this case, unfortunately, no air date is given.

There are, fortunately, other options for "Mom's Day Away." Amazon has it available on DVD or Streaming Video! Otherwise, it may not be on TV until next year, around Mother's Day! And, that's only a maybe then!

I also, unfortunately, do not see an upcoming air date for Reading, Writing & Romance on Hallmark's site, yet. But, if you keep a check on it's main movie page, when there is an air date, it will show up there, too!

Hope all this information is helpful to you, Amy!

      Blessings!!! Net :)

    4. Net -

I, too, was thinking "Mom's Day Away" would play again for Mother's Day. There must be something involving legal matters/money that dictate which movies rerun and how often, I can only believe.

I'm happy to know about the movie list.

      Thanks again!

      Amy G.

  4. Since early times, people have sought supernatural experiences God did not endorse. God had stern words for His people concerning any involvement with them. Deuteronomy 18:9–12 says, “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, let no one be found among you who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.”

    1. Thank you for sharing that scripture from God's word. That's exactly why I have chosen not to watch.

I choose not to open myself, even an inkling, to that world.

Some may say, it is no big deal. It's just fun... a simple TV show or movie, like "Harry Potter." But, when you open Pandora's box, it can't be shut.

According to Wikipedia... "Today the phrase "to open Pandora's box" means to perform an action that may seem small or innocent, but that turns out to have severely detrimental and far-reaching negative consequences."

    2. The Bible also says to "stay away" from all forms of witchcraft.

  5. I just wondered why you don't watch that show on Hallmark.

    1. Thank you for asking. I choose not to watch due to my own religious beliefs and convictions. (Please see my comment above.)

I personally don't believe in "good" witches. Also, I've seen various instances of "magic" in the commercial previews that I don't agree with.

Again, thank you for asking! Blessings, Net

  6. I have never watched the Good Witch but always thought I might give it a go someday if I had nothing better to do. What's wrong with it? Just curious. Too much innuendo? I'd appreciate some advice!

    1. For me, not watching the series "Good Witch," has been my own personal decision, based upon my religious beliefs.

I believe it is unhealthy spiritually and psychologically.

The Bible warns us of "calling evil good and good evil", and portraying witches as "good" is simply wrong. That is my own personal firmly held belief.

  7. We've delved into our re-watch pile for this weekend.

Last night we watched The Irresistible Blueberry Farm which seems to get better and better! and tonight we have chosen one of our all time favourite Christmas movies, The Nine Lives Of Christmas.

    1. That sounds wonderful!!! I love both of those movies! Especially "Nine Lives!"

I often pull out a movie from my Hallmark library to enjoy on a night when there isn't much on!!! So fun!!! :)

  8. Net, I'm really missing When Calls the Heart this weekend and our family doesn't watch, by choice, that other show on Hallmark.I'm glad to know you and others are also not watching. I was feeling kind of alone, but it's nice to know others feel the same. I know watching this show would be opening my children, my husband and myself, up to all sorts of wicked things. All in the name of entertainment? No, it's not for us. I'm grateful for you Net and this wonderful site! You have no idea how you've blessed me and my family.

    1. You are definitely NOT alone in missing WCTH this weekend, Abby! My family feels exactly the same way! We're all so grateful to know Season 5 will be coming, but right now 2018 seems so far away!

I appreciate all your thoughtful words of encouragement... I'm so blessed to know my site has blessed you and your family!

Blessings on your weekend! Net :)
