This is the 15th year (so hard to believe) since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Those of us who watched it happen that morning, whether in person or on TV, we will certainly never forget it.

Since that day, we know we are blessed to be able to enjoy even the simple things in life, and our hearts and prayers remain with the families and friends of all the ones that were lost that day.

I pray you all have a pleasant, peaceful weekend... God Bless You All!

  3. Wish I had PixL. Any chance it will be made available through other cable providers? I'm considering switching to DISH.

    1. Totally worth just paying 1.99$ a month for the youtube option, really. Paying that (and even making it stream to the TV) is a lot less effort than having to deal with cable providers...

    2. I agree Shae. Much better than wishing your cable provider will pick it up.

  4. Any clue why Hallmark didn't premiere a new movie this weekend?

It's not only this weekend, sadly. The main Hallmark channel is going the whole month of September without a new movie. I get the feeling that this was not the original plan. I don't think that the Hallmark Channel would have chosen to go an entire month without anything new, especially after picking up a lot of steam with the movies that aired in April-May-June-July-August. I am guessing that something went awry somewhere along the line to throw a wrench into the plan, and they just didn't have enough time to get anything new on the channel in September.

The original schedule for the Hallmark Channel involved "The Irresistible Blueberry Farm" airing on September 17th. Also, the Ashley Williams movie, "Love on a Limb" (originally called "Seeds of Love") was supposed to premiere on September 24th.

I thought that having 2 new movies in September was a good plan, as it would close the gap a bit from when the Summer Nights event ended and Fall Harvest began.

My guess is that Hallmark probably had an initial plan to premiere 5 new movies for Fall Harvest this year, up from 4 new ones last year. I think they wanted to start Fall Harvest closer to when fall actually begins in September, so they could do 5 consecutive weekends of new Fall Harvest premieres.

Somewhere along the way, I think that the possible 5th Fall Harvest movie got delayed in development or something, and it was dropped from the schedule. It was probably too late or just not realistic for Hallmark to think they could suddenly get another movie into the line-up for either September or October. So, instead of airing 2 Fall Harvest movies, then having a random empty weekend in October without a new movie, and then having two more new movies, Hallmark just decided to air all of the Fall movies in October and "Love on a Limb"/"Seeds of Love" got bumped to October 1st.

Meanwhile, "The Irresistible Blueberry Farm" was moved over to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel for an October premiere. I am guessing this is because Alison Sweeney is in it, and Hallmark figures that it will tide over the "Murder, She Baked" fans until there is a new installment of that movie series.

Personally, I think that Hallmark should have left "The Irresistible Blueberry Farm" on the main channel, and let it premiere in September. That way, there would at least be one new film on that channel this month. Last year, there were two new movies in September, which led right into Fall Harvest in October, which led right into the Countdown to Christmas, which led right into Winterfest, which led right into the Countdown to Valentine's Day. In other words, there were 5 straight months of at least one new movie every weekend, with no exceptions, and often 2 new ones.

So now, it's looking like there won't be a new movie on the main Hallmark Channel until October 1st. Then there should be 4 straight Saturdays of Fall Harvest movies. The Countdown to Christmas begins on October 28th, and the "new" movie that is premiering on 10/29 will be the official premiere of "A Perfect Christmas," which sneak previewed and aired only once in July.

After that first weekend of 10/29-10/30, there should be new movies every weekend for the rest of 2016, and hopefully that pattern will segue into new movies every weekend in January (Winterfest), and then into the Countdown to Valentine's Day.
