via Hallmark: John and Abby Reynolds are a married couple who have been together since their days as high school sweethearts - when John was a football hero and Abby dreamed of becoming a writer. Now in their forties, Abby is a restaurant critic for a local newspaper and John is a football coach at their son's high school. Though their seemingly perfect marriage is the envy of their peers, the truth is that they have fallen out of love, and plan to announce their impending divorce during their daughter Nicole's upcoming college break. But John and Abby's plan takes a turn when an elated Nicole surprises them with an announcement that she has gotten engaged. Not wanting to put a damper on Nicole's cherished event, John and Abby agree to wait until after her wedding to tell her about their divorce. With the clock ticking and John and Abby helping Nicole prepare for her wedding day, they perhaps have one last chance to again find their love.

  1. I hope this means that Hallmark will also do the second book in the series, A Time to Embrace. I am so excited all the projects Karen Kingsbury has with Hallmark, we as fans are so blessed. When I saw her about a year and half ago she was telling me all about these projects and it is so nice to see them finally come to the little screen. So looking forward to the Baxter series too, with Roma Downey developing it I know it will live up to the books.

  2. This movie plot sounds very familiar. The movie with Terri Polo was basically the same story. A bit disappointing that Hallmark has to create movies that replay story lines. I am sure I will watch like I do all their other originals. Hopefully it will become a favorite.

    1. That’s the exact same thing I thought when I read the synopsis for “Karen Kingsbury’s A Time to Dance”. Another Hallmark movie that has a very similar plot to other Hallmark movies is “Love by Chance”. When I read that synopsis, it sounded a lot like the Hannah Swensen series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (except “Love by Chance” isn’t a mystery story). “Love by Chance” also sounds like “Anything for Love” and “All Things Valentine” (where the guy and/or the girl has to keep a secret that might affect their relationship). For “Karen Kingsbury’s A Time to Dance”, I’ll wait until the trailer is released to decide whether or not the movie is something that I’m interested in watching.

  3. I read the book and then watched the movie. I was disappointed in the movie as it left out all the author's reason for writing it. It's a faith based story with insight on God, the bible and having faith in your marriage and listening to your heart. I was also disappointed in the character changes. Please read her book to gain the entire experience of the story. The movie was ok.

  4. Looking for any &all info on ALL the GREAT songs used in this movie. I cant seem to find any info. If someone here knows who sang what .. Id be forever grateful! I especially like the acoustic song with the repeat lyrics of "Im fallin'." Sounds like John Mayer, but I doubt it is. Thanks!
