  1. Just watched "A Christmas Detour" NOT one of Candace Cameron Bure
best - it was so boring, I could hardly wait to see the end - which confirmed, I won't watch it a second time.

  2. Can you believe we’re already a bit more than halfway through the 2015 Christmas movie season? Time flies!

So far this year, this year of made-for-TV Christmas films have been somewhat underwhelming, but of the new-for-2015 offerings my top three are ...

    1. Northpole: Open For Christmas, Hallmark, which my whole family really enjoyed

    2. Christmas Detour, Hallmark, because Candace does seem to get the pick-of-the-Christmas-movie litter each year

    3. I’m Not Ready for Christmas, Hallmark

    Bottom three ...

    1. Rodeo and Juliet, Up … Ugh. The “Merry Exmas” of 2015

    2. Merry Matrimony, Hallmark … Didn’t even make it through 10 minutes of this one. Leads were dreadful.

    3. A Gift Wrapped Christmas, Lifetime … Not only does it have a near-identical premise to 12 Gifts of Christmas from Hallmark this year, but it’s even worse than that very blah movie.

But my biggest Christmas “find” this season is Moody Christmas on Hulu. It’s not a family watch (R-rated language), but this 2012 Australian TV series has each of six episodes taking place on subsequent Christmases. Just really charming, funny and utterly unique take on holiday TV. Definitely worth checking out!
