The story unfolds with Monica on the morning of her senior prom. She's eager to get ready, that is until she realizes she can't get her hair to cooperate. On top of that, she's mistakenly enlisted by Liz, a police officer hot on the trail of missing jewels. Her prom day goes from bad to mad, as a dogged jewel thief tries to outwit the pair.
