PLOT:

DVD Cover Synopsis:

With a heart that won't quit, a stomach that won't stop gurgling and a self-sworn oath to protect his turf, he's Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Mild-mannered Paul Blart (Kevin James, "The King of Queens") has always had huge dreams of becoming a State Trooper. Until then, he patrols the local mall as a security guard. With his closely cropped moustache, personal transporter and gung-ho attitude, only Blart seems to take his job seriously. All that changes when a team of thugs raids the malls and takes hostages. Untrained, unarmed and a super-size target, Blart has to become a real cop to save the day.

Movie Review:

I thought this would be a Silly, but Cute little Christmas lighthearted Comedy. I was wrong. There is very little to do with it being Christmas. Yes, the story takes place on one of the very busiest shopping days of the year - Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and the Mall is completely decorated and decked out with Christmas trees, Santas village, etc... there is still very little in this movie about Christmas. The main focus is on the Mall and the group of Criminals who have taken it over, with hostages at gunpoint, and how Paul Blart, on his own, is trying to rescue them.

There are some very funny laugh out loud moments, but I thought the Violence in it was way more than PG! I would Definitely NOT recommend this for children... they'll never want to go to the Mall to sit on Santa's Lap again after seeing this! There's a lot of intense Violence - Guns, Swords, Men falling from the Mall roof, Intense chases, etc...

There is some Language and numerous Fat Jokes. This is not a Movie I would choose for Family Movie Night, but if you are older and enjoy slapstick comedy and Kevin James, then you'll probably like this movie.

Please beware, though, this is not Home Alone.

See or Skip:

See, if you enjoy Comedy, but I caution you with my review above!

NOT for Children!
