PLOT:

Maya Dolittle (Kyla Pratt) inherited her dad's way with animals, but she's not sure she wants to follow in his footsteps. Now that she's graduated from high school, she has to make a decision: spend seven more years in school to become a veterinarian or take another path.

She thinks she's found the answer when her special talent leads her to Hollywood. The rich and famous clamor for her help and Maya becomes the toast of the town – complete with her own TV show, socialite BFF (Tegan Moss), and totally cute boyfriend (Brandon Jay McLaren). Best of all, Maya thinks she's found a way to help animals in the here and now, instead of waiting until after vet school.

But Tinseltown isn't all it's cracked up to be and Maya is tested in ways she never expected. Luckily, she has the help of some very special friends who know just what to do when things start going to the dogs.
